Advanced Football Skills Clinic

For athletes who are getting ready to play or are currently playing organized football, Youth League or High School, and want to gain a more in depth understanding of football and develop the skill sets required to excel at any level, Coached by Current and Former Football Players
 
 
Ages 12-17
or
Rising 7th-11th graders

These Non-Contact Weeklong Sessions Will Focus On:
 
        - SPECIFIC POSITION FUNDAMENTALS
        - BASIC AND IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF FOOTBALL
        - ATHLETIC FUNDAMENTALS
        - CONDITIONING
        - BASIC SKILLS (i.e. passing, catching, running)
        - ADVANCEMENT OF SKILLS FOR ALL POSITIONS
        - COMPETITIONS and GAMES
 
4-6pm
 
July 6-10 at Yorktown High School Greenbrier Field
or
July 20-24 at Wakefield High School Stadium Field

This is for football players or prospective football players who have a desire to gain a better understanding of the sport and develop the skills required to excel. They will learn all of the various offensive and defensive positions and will develop the skills required to throw, catch, and kick a football. Once they have left this clinic, they will have gained and developed skills to help them play football at a higher level and competency. Strength, Speed, Agility, and Health training and techniques will all be emphasized.
 
Every day will comprise of:
-Warm-up/ Stretching
-Conditioning/ Footwork/ Agilities
-Position Specific Drills and Fundamentals
-Position Specific Competitions or Games
 
Coached by Former and Current Football Players who specialize in at least one position on the Gridiron.
 
This is a Non-Contact Clinic
 
Athletes should be of good overall health and condition. Any health problems or conditions must be made known prior to the first day of the session. This is a football clinic and while it is a non-contact clinic, football has the tendency to be a physically taxing sport. Running and other Cardiovascular and Muscular Exercises are integral parts of this clinic.
 
What to bring:
Tennis Shoes
Cleats (preferable but not strictly a necessity)
Athletic Clothing
Without the above, athletes will be severely restricted in all activities
 
Optional:
Water; water-fountains are available and ice water will be provided
Sun Screen;
Football; footballs will be provided, but if you have a special preference
